Company ProfileThe name of our leasing company reflects our target market strategy. TechLease L.L.C. is a Direct Lending Independent Equipment Leasing company dedicated to providing honest relationships, in the high technology industries that we know best: aerospace, medical and semiconductor. We have key contacts in these industries, and worldwide recognition in the community through membership in the National Academy of Engineering, American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Society of Neuroradiology, and other professional societies. In addition, we have authored 69 patents, and 100 publications. TechLease L.L.C. has a competitive edge because we have a deep understanding of the businesses we serve. We look beyond the value of the asset itself, and view the financing of a particular piece of equipment as an element of the larger solution for our customers. Senior ManagementCEO and Founder: Dr. Neil Paton Dr. Paton was formerly President, Howmet Research Corporation, responsible for development of new products, manufacturing processes and materials for gas turbines. He is an internationally recognized expert in superalloys, high conductivity copper alloys, titanium alloys and bulk amorphous materials. He assumed his current position in 2001 after more than 20 years with Rockwell International and 11 years at Howmet, where he held various positions in materials development and advanced engineering. He has authored or co-authored over 80 technical publications and given more than 60 technical presentations based on his research. He also holds fifteen patents. He received his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and his PhD in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Among recent special assignments, he has served on several National Academy of Sciences review committees and was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2002. Election to the National Academy of Engineering is one of the highest professional distinctions that can be accorded an engineer. He is experienced in technology intellectual property, and holds over 63 patents in semiconductor process. He has eight years industry experience at Advanced Micro Devices.
